Max Weber was born and raised in midtown Manhattan and was a Junior in High School when the World Trade Center was hit. Son of BJ Weber, founder of the New York Fellowship and for many years served as the unofficial chaplain of NCS, Max was raised immersed in the first generations of NCS and the many ministries surrounding that.
Max attended Vanderbilt University but was drawn back to NYC and could not shake the mixed emotions of 9/11 that shaped his adolescence. In lieu of front-line military service, Max joined the FDNY first as an EMT in Harlem and then as a firefighter in Chinatown. All the while, Max continued to be involved in the New York Fellowship and its extended ministries. Max also played high level rugby with Old Blue RFC for 15 years.
Max’s FDNY career was unfortunately cut short by a violent knee injury during a fire. Max retired in 2025 and currently is the Director of Rugby Development at 12th Rock ministries (50 minutes Northwest of NYC) as well as the head coach of the Men’s and Women’s Rugby teams at Wesleyan University. Max also regularly hosts fellowship dinners in his home.
Max is married to his wife Lauren of 13 years and has a son Bo (7), and daughters Lita (6) and Tilly (5). Max is involved in a few churches in Warwick, New York where he and his family currently live. Max spends his days coaching rugby, developing community and investing in the lives of adults (young and old), and as his father, the late BJ Weber, would put it “just being available”.
Parker Billings, a New York native, has been attending NCS for over ten years. A graduate of Villanova University, Parker does enterprise sales for the growing food innovation company, Wonder Group. Prior to that, he worked for WeWork.
Parker is privileged to learned and lived with BJ Weber during BJ’s last decade on earth. He is grateful for the mentorship provided by BJ and his late father and best friend, Gary.
Today, Parker serves his community by organizing retreats, befriending incarcerated brothers, participating in interventions, and working on sustainable housing in the Navajo Nation. He also hosts a dinner group for men to discuss life’s challenges under the banner of faith.
Parker lives in the Upper East Side and attends Central Presbyterian Church. He has a younger sister who lives with her husband and their very cute & spunky daughter, Parker’s niece, Lily. He is also dating a Jersey girl whom he loves and is so amazing that his dad would be proud!
